A 14-year-old girl walking near a Northwest Washington high school Monday afternoon was forced into a vehicle and sexually assaulted, according to D.C. police.
The incident occurred about 4 p.m. at 11th and Clifton streets, at the northeast corner of Cardozo High School and near an elementary school across the street. Police would not say if the victim was a student at the high school.

Authorities said the 22-year-old man was fatally shot in Alexandria by an Arlington County officer.
But a colleague stands by her story that the officer threatened the president’s wife.
Police said the girl was walking when a man inside a SUV or similar type vehicle pulled up next to her. Police said she was forced inside and then got out after being assaulted.
Authorities had only a scant description of a man with a thick build, braided hair and speaking in a Jamaican accent. The girl told police he smelled of alcohol.
Police said Monday’s attack is unrelated to another kidnapping and sexual assault that occurred Sunday in the 1800 block of 23rd St. SE.
In that incident, police said, a woman walking in the 2700 block of Naylor Road was approached by a man with a gun who forced her to get into his vehicle. He then drove her to 23rd Street. The incident occurred between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Police described the assailant in that attack as a black male with a medium complexion, 30 to 35 years old, with short hair, a full beard and two tattoos. One tatoo on his right forearm has a picture of a cross and the words “Rest In Peace”; the other is across his chest. He was wearing a Kangol-type hat, two hoop earrings in his right ear, a black pea coat, blue jeans and tan boots. The handgun was black, police said.
