Pr. George’s police ID man stabbed to death in Suitland

Police have identified the man stabbed to death during a home invasion in Suitland on Monday afternoon as 35-year-old Nick Charles Boddie, authorities said Tuesday.

Investigators believe one or more people made their way into Boddie’s home in the 3800 block of Regency Park Court and stabbed him, though the motive for the attack remains unclear, authorities said. A friend tried to drive Boddie to the hospital but crashed near the intersection of Branch and Southern Avenues, authorities said. The friend then told investigators of the stabbing, authorities said.

Boddie was taken from the crash scene to the hospital, where he later was pronounced dead, authorities said. Police have not identified any suspects in the case, and a Prince George’s County police spokeswoman said Tuesday that detectives were still exploring whether the home invasion was random or Boddie’s home was targeted.
