CARJACKING

Springhill Dr., 6000 block, 1:23 a.m. Dec. 27. A woman was removing groceries from her vehicle that had the motor running and observed another vehicle circling the parking lot. A passenger exited the vehicle and pushed the woman, then carjacked her blue 2002 Lexus ES300. A second person drove away in a dark-colored vehicle.

ROBBERIES

Cherrywood Terr., 5800 block, 12:48 a.m. Dec. 29. Two masked gunmen robbed a female pedestrian of her purse as she walked to her vehicle. The two fled on foot.

Edmonston Rd., 9200 block, 12:09 a.m. Dec. 29. Two males, one armed with a handgun, approached two people as they were walking and demanded property. After a short chase, one of the males was tackled to the ground. The males stole a cellphone and fled on foot.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bird Lane, 8100 block, 12:35 p.m. Dec. 30. A jacket, camera and jewelry were stolen from a residence.

Centerway, 1 to 99 block, 7:03 a.m. Dec. 28. A restaurant’s front glass door was broken and a cash register was stolen.

Greenbelt Rd., 6100 block, 5:11 p.m. Dec. 24. A 49-year-old Capitol Heights man allegedly stole merchandise at a Target store. He was charged with theft after being stopped by security at a Target store.

Greenbelt Rd., 7400 block, 9:30 p.m. Dec. 23. A locker was forced open at a fitness facility. A cellphone and watch were stolen.

Greenbelt Rd., 7500 block, 9:47 p.m. Dec. 23. A 26-year-old Greenbelt man was arrested and charged with theft after he was accused of stealing merchandise from a grocery store.

Greenbelt Rd., 7600 block, Dec. 23. A female who was pumping gas at an Exxon station discovered her purse was missing when she got back in her vehicle.

Greenbelt Rd., 7600 block. Dec. 29. Money was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking the driver-side window.

Mandan Rd., 7800 block, Dec. 27. A laptop and book bag were stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a rear passenger-side window.

Mandan Rd., 7900 block, 9:59 p.m. Dec. 30. A male approached a man as he exited an apartment and asked to borrow his cellphone. The man handed it over, and the male fled on foot.

Springhill Lane, 9100 block, Dec. 31. A vehicle’s rear tag was stolen.

Springshire Way, 6700 block, Dec. 25. Clothing, jewelry and money were stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking the front passenger-side window.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Cherrywood Terr., 5900 block, Dec. 31. A gray 2005 Jeep Cherokee was stolen.

Hanover Pkwy., 6900 block, Dec. 31. A 2006 Ford F-250 was recovered.

VANDALISM

Edmonston Rd., 9300 block, Dec. 27. Three tires on a vehicle were slashed.

Gardenway, 1 to 99 block, 8 a.m. Jan. 1. A city park bench was vandalized.

Springhill Dr., 6000 block, Jan. 1. A vehicle’s rear window was broken.

38th Ave., 5700 block, Dec. 29. A vehicle’s passenger-side window was broken.

40th Ave., 5900 block, Dec. 13. Graffiti were spray-painted on the outside of a business and the awnings were damaged.
