ROBBERIES

Springhill Dr., 6000 block, 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17. A male snatched a female pedestrian’s cellphone from her hand and fled on foot.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Greenbelt Rd., 7400 block, 3:28 a.m. Jan. 23. The front door of a store was forced open and phones were stolen.

Hanover Pkwy., 7700 block, Jan. 16. Copper pipe was stolen from atop a work van.

Wintergreen Ct., 7300 block, Jan. 17. Air bags were stolen from two vehicles entered by breaking a passenger window.

Mandan Rd. and Mathew St., Jan. 20. A vehicle’s driver-side window was broken and the vehicle was ransacked, but nothing was reported stolen.

Springhill Dr., 6200 block, Jan. 22. A vehicle’s driver-side window was broken and lottery tickets were stolen.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Hanover Pkwy., 7700 block, Jan. 17. A silver 1999 Honda Civic was stolen. The car was recovered Jan. 19 in Fairmont Heights, but its tags were missing.

Mandan Rd., 7800 block, Jan. 17. A 2013 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was recovered.

VANDALISM

Springhill Dr., 5900 block, 10 p.m. Jan. 19. A fire extinguisher was thrown through the sliding-glass door of a residence.

Hyattsville

ASSAULTS

East West Hwy., 3500 block, 1:30 p.m. Jan. 19. Three people assaulted a person.

Rhode Island Ave., 4800 block, noon Jan. 23. A male was arrested and charged with assault after an attempted theft of property from a person.

ROBBERIES

Belcrest Rd., 6500 block, 2:30 p.m. Jan. 23. A gunman in a red Pontiac sedan approached a male pedestrian and stole his cellphone.

Kennedy and Lustine streets, 8:15 p.m. Jan. 20. A person got out of a red Kia Soul and approached a male pedestrian and demanded cash. The pedestrian refused, and the person sprayed him with pepper spray and fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Baltimore Ave., 5100 block, 4:30 a.m. Jan. 23. Three people broke into a business and stole an ATM machine.

East West Hwy., 3500 block, 3 p.m. Jan. 20. Two people were arrested and charged with shoplifting.

East West Hwy., 3500 block, 6 p.m. Jan. 20. A person was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

East West Hwy., 3500 block, 10:30 a.m. Jan. 21. A delivered package was stolen from the front porch of a residence.

East West Hwy., 3500 block, 4:15 p.m. Jan. 22. A person was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

East West Hwy., 3500 block, 11 a.m. Jan. 23. A person was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

East West Hwy., 3500 block, 2 p.m. Jan. 24. A person was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

Kirkwood Pl., 2700 block, Jan. 23. A driver’s seat, two air bags and a stereo were stolen from a vehicle.

40th Ave., 5600 block, 10:30 a.m. Jan. 21. A delivered package was stolen from the front porch of a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Nicholson St., 2800 block, Jan. 21. A 2002 Chrysler Concorde was stolen. It was recovered by Prince George’s County police later that morning.

31st Ave., 5900 block, Jan. 24. A 1998 Plymouth Neon was stolen and recovered the same day in Mount Rainier.

VANDALISM

Nicholson St., 2800 block, 2 to 6:45 a.m. Jan. 21. A vehicle’s passenger-side window was broken.
