ASSAULTS

Greenbelt Rd., 6000 block, 8:50 p.m. Jan. 26. Four or five males dressed in black assaulted a male in a self-serve laundry, punching and kicking him several times before fleeing in a dark green Honda Accord. The man was taken by ambulance to Washington Adventist Hospital for treatment.

ROBBERIES

Mandan Rd., 7800 block, 8 p.m. Jan. 23. Two gunmen, one wearing a ski mask, approached three people standing in the lobby of an apartment building and announced a robbery. The gunmen fled with the people’s wallets.

Springhill Dr., 6200 block, 5:40 p.m. Jan. 25. A masked man came up the stairs and attempted to snatch a woman’s purse as she was about to go into her apartment. After a short struggle, the man took the purse and fled with it.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Cherrywood Lane, 5900 block, Jan. 26. Several boxes of snack food were stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking the driver’s side window.

Edmonston Rd., 9300 block, Jan. 25. A vehicle’s driver’s side window was smashed and a handicap placard was stolen.

Greenbelt Rd., 7500 block, 4:45 p.m. Jan. 27. A change dispenser was stolen from the counter at a Wendy’s restaurant.

Greenway Center Dr., 7400 block, Jan. 29. A vehicle’s radio console was stolen by breaking a side window.

Hanover Pkwy., 6900 block, Jan. 24. A vehicle’s driver’s side window was smashed and a handicap placard was stolen.

Hanover Pkwy., 6900 block, Jan. 25. A vehicle’s driver’s-side window was smashed and a handicap placard was stolen.

Hanover Pkwy., 7700 block, Jan. 26. Four tires and rims were stolen from a vehicle.

Hillside Rd., 1 to 99 block, 4:30 p.m. Jan. 24. A .44-caliber semiautomatic handgun was stolen from a residence.

Lake Park Dr., 6500 block, 6:37 p.m. Jan. 26. A male reported being inside his residence when he heard someone yelling in the hallway and attempting to force open his front door. The person then stopped and could not be located.

Lakeside Dr., 200 block, Jan. 25. Several cable box units were stolen from the trunk of a vehicle.

Mandan Rd., 7500 block, Jan. 25. A vehicle’s driver’s-side window was smashed and a handicap placard was stolen.

Southway, 1 to 99 block, noon Jan. 26. A female reported awaking from sleep and seeing a male going through her dresser. The male removed prescription medicine from the drawer and fled. Entry was gained by way of an unsecured door.

Springhill Lane, 9100 block, 2:25 p.m. Jan. 27. A wallet was stolen from a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Breezewood Terr., 9000 block, Jan. 23. A white 2000 Ford Contour was stolen.

Mandan Rd., 7800 block, Jan. 28. A 2009 Chevrolet Impala was stolen and recovered the same day in Brentwood by Prince George’s County police.

VANDALISM

Springhill Lane, 9100 block, Jan. 29. A vehicle’s tire was slashed.

East West Hwy., 3500 block, 7 p.m. Jan. 28. Two people assaulted and robbed a male pedestrian.

Jamestown Rd., 2000 block, 6 a.m. Jan. 28. A female pedestrian was assaulted and robbed.

Jamestown Rd. and Oliver St., 11 p.m. Jan. 26. Two people assaulted and robbed a male pedestrian.

42nd Ave., 6000 block, 4:15 p.m. Jan. 30. A male pedestrian was assaulted and robbed.

East West Hwy., 3300 block, 2:15 p.m. Jan. 30. A person was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Belcrest Center Dr., 3000 block, Jan. 29. A 2000 Dodge Ram was stolen. It was recovered in the District the next day.

VANDALISM

Adelphi Rd., 7000 block, noon Jan. 27. Property from Northwestern High School was damaged.

Nicholson St., 2800 block, Jan. 25-27. A vehicle’s passenger-side rear window was broken.
