A 66-year-old Woodbridge man was killed on a sidewalk in front of a Prince William high school about 3 p.m. Friday when a driver left the road and struck him, according to police.

A 17-year-old female high school student from Manassas was driving north in the 14000 block of Spriggs Road in Woodbridge when her 2008 Ford Mustang left the road and struck the bicyclist, police said. The road and sidewalk are in front of C.D. Hylton High School. The female teenager is a Prince William high school student but does not attend Hylton, said county police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No one has been charged, and the 66-year-old’s identity is being withheld pending notification of family.
