DUMFRIES AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Golf Club Dr., 15700 block, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 9. Several boxes of coins, an MP3 player and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear basement door.

GAINESVILLE AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Linton Hall Rd., 7600 block, 11:39 p.m. July 9. A male entered a residence through an unlocked door and hit a resident before fleeing. Nothing was reported stolen.

MANASSAS AREA

ASSAULTS

Spriggs and Hoadly roads, 2:54 a.m. July 7. During a fight involving three people, a a man got into a vehicle and drove it, striking another man, who was later treated for injuries.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Holly Forest Dr., 14000 block, 6:59 a.m. July 8. A resident found a male intruder in a vehicle inside a garage at a residence. The resident attempted to detain the intruder, who fled on foot. An MP3 speaker kit and baseball caps were stolen. An 18-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested, and the property was recovered.

Marie Dr., 13300 block, June 22 to July 6. Tools and equipment were stolen from an open garage.

Oak St., 8000 block, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. July 9. Prescription medicine, video games and video game accessories were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked front door.

Silent Wolf Dr., 12500 block, 8 p.m. July 6 to 8 p.m. July 7. Jewelry and other items were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear door.

Stillbrooke Rd., 8000 block, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 7. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked rear door.

Sudley Rd., 8300 block, 8:59 p.m. July 5. A man in a jewelry store asked to see a diamond ring, then fled with the ring.

Whitehall Dr., 7500 block, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 10. A laptop computer and a video game system were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

WEAPONS

Wharf Lane, 3600 block, 11:33 p.m. July 6. A man fired a weapon. A 20-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested.

WOODBRIDGE AREA

ASSAULTS

Jefferson Davis Hwy., 13900 block, 4:54 a.m. July 8. A person assaulted a male acquaintance. The acquaintance was found unconscious with head injuries and taken to a hospital.

Old Bridge Rd. and Hedges Run Dr., 8:50 p.m. July 5. Two men with a knife shouted at a male pedestrian, who ran away. A 32-year-old man was arrested.

Tassleford Lane, 15700 block, 8:56 p.m. July 5. During an argument, a gunman from one group threatened the other group. The gunman fired several bullets, hitting a male juvenile in the lower body. The juvenile was treated for injuries. A 22-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested.

CHILD-CARE INCIDENTS

Essex Dr., 14100 block, midnight July 6. During an investigation, two children were found to be living in dangerous conditions. A 33-year-old Woodbridge resident was charged with child neglect.

WEAPONS

Occoquan Rd., 13300 block, 12:39 a.m. July 8. Someone in a vehicle fired several bullets at a gas station.

ROBBERIES

Bel Air and Jeffries roads, 1 a.m. July 7. Two men robbed a male pedestrian of a cellphone and an MP3 player at gunpoint.

Prince William Pkwy., 2400 block, 9:34 p.m. June 5. A gunman searched a man for a wallet, then fled without property.
