DUMFRIES AREA

ASSAULTS

Taconic Cir., 16800 block, 5:53 p.m. Aug. 10. A juvenile got into a vehicle occupied by two men, who attempted to rob him at gunpoint. The juvenile fled with another male and encountered two additional men. One of the men fired a shotgun at them, injuring the older man in the back and the juvenile in the torso. Both were treated for injuries. Four Woodbridge men, two 19-year-olds and two 20-year-olds, were arrested.

ROBBERIES

Wharf Lane, 3600 block, 3:54 p.m. Aug. 11. Three males with a shotgun and a handgun entered a residence through an unlocked door and robbed several occupants of cash.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Virginia Oaks Dr., 7700 block, 8 a.m. July 29 to noon Aug. 8. A projector and other equipment were stolen from a vacant residence.

HAYMARKET AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Meander Creek Lane, 2700 block, 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 2. Two rings were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear door.

Gambril Dr., 10800 block, 5:47 p.m. Aug. 13. During an argument, a man hit a male acquaintance several times in the head. A 28-year-old man was arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Coral Berry Dr., 10500 block, 5:45 to 9 p.m. Aug. 11. Two laptop computers and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked rear door.

Gales Ct., 7500 block, 10:37 p.m. Aug. 8. A man attempted to enter a residence through a door. A resident saw him, and the two struggled. The intruder assaulted the resident, then fled empty-handed.

Leopard Tortoise Pl., 15200 block, 8:47 p.m. Aug. 8. A bike was stolen from a garage of a residence.

Loggerhead Pl., 5400 block, 8:02 p.m. Aug. 8. A bike was stolen from a garage of a residence.

Norseman Dr., 11500 block, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 13. Someone entered a residence by forcing a rear door. Nothing was reported stolen.

Pinehurst Lane, 7400 block, 5 p.m. Aug. 7 to 1 p.m. Aug. 12. A motorcycle was stolen from an unlocked shed.

Pointer Lane, 8100 block, 6 p.m. Aug. 11 to noon Aug. 12. A video game system was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a front door.

TRIANGLE AREA

ASSAULTS

Melrose Ave., 3500 block, 9:24 p.m. Aug. 10. During an argument at residence, a man assaulted a female acquaintance, prevented her from leaving and threatened to blow up the house. A 22-year-old Triangle man was arrested.

WEAPONS

Perry St., 19100 block, 2:51 a.m. Aug. 11. During an argument, a man fired a weapon into the ceiling of a residence. An 18-year-old Triangle man was arrested.

WOODBRIDGE AREA

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Potomac Mills Cir., 2700 block, 5:05 p.m. Aug. 13. A man grabbed a woman. When she confronted him, he fled.

ASSAULTS

Oak Valley Dr., 2600 block, 12:27 a.m. Aug. 15. During an argument, two men assaulted another man, then fled. The injured man was treated at a hospital.

ROBBERIES

Featherstone Rd., 1700 block, 2:56 a.m. Aug. 10. A male robbed a convenience store of cash at gunpoint.

PEEPING TOM INCIDENTS

Mount Pleasant Dr., 14200 block, 6:06 a.m. Aug. 10. A man was looked inside a residence through a kitchen window, and a female resident saw him.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Featherstone Rd., 1700 block, 3:35 p.m. Aug. 14. Someone attempted to enter a residence by pushing an air conditioner through a window.
