DUMFRIES AREA

ASSAULTS

Waterway Dr., 3500 block, 5:45 p.m. Jan. 22. A woman and a juvenile male were abducted from a school. A 25-year-old man was arrested. The victims were found that day.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Jefferson Davis Hwy., 17400 block, 11:35 p.m. Jan. 29. A man forced his way into a motel room and restrained a female occupant. When she was called police, the intruder fled empty-handed.

GAINESVILLE AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Old Linton Hall Rd., 7600 block, 1:16 a.m. Jan. 19. A laptop computer was stolen from an occupied residence entered through an unlocked window. A man fled with the property when confronted.

HAYMARKET AREA

ROBBERIES

Sudley Rd., 4000 block, 9:55 p.m. Jan. 27. A masked gunman robbed a convenience store. A 17-year-old Manassas male, a 19-year-old Haymarket man and a 21-year-old Warrenton man were arrested. One was also charged in connection with the attempted robbery of a pharmacy in the 15200 block of Washington Street at 9:09 p.m. In that incident, a masked gunman set off a smoke bomb and demanded prescription medication, then left the store empty-handed.

MANASSAS AREA

ROBBERIES

Brandon Way, 10000 block, 4 p.m. Jan. 18. Three masked males forced their way into a residence at gunpoint and searched the premises, then fled with a cellphone.

Gateshead Lane and Sudley Manor Dr., 5:53 p.m. Jan. 23. A masked gunman demanded money from two male pedestrians. One pedestrian attempted to disarm the man, and the weapon fired, hitting the pedestrian in the arm. He was treated for injuries. The man fled empty-handed.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bonair Dr., 9500 block, 2:15 a.m. Jan. 26. An attempt was made to enter a residence by damaging a screen door.

Centreville Rd., 7200 block, 6 p.m. Jan. 17 to 8 a.m. Jan. 18. A recreational utility vehicle, three lawn mowers, a snowblower, and a generator were stolen from a business.

Centreville Rd., 7500 block, 5:39 a.m. Jan. 27. Property was stolen from a business entered by breaking a window. Three men were seen fleeing with the property.

Quail Run Lane, 7500 block, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 18. Two handguns, a laptop computer and a video game system were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a front door.

Talisa Lane, 10500 block, 6 p.m. Jan. 21 to 5:30 a.m. Jan. 22. Two GPS devices were among property stolen from two unlocked vehicles inside an open garage.

NOKESVILLE AREA

WEAPONS OFFENSES

Nokes Rd., 11800 block, 2 p.m. Jan. 26. A residence was struck by a bullet. An investigation determined that a woman and a juvenile were firing a weapon at a target set up at a nearby residence. A 34-year-old Nokesville woman was arrested.

TRIANGLE AREA

ASSAULTS

Cabin Rd., 18400 block, 7:52 p.m. Jan. 23. During an argument, a male was cut in the face with a knife. A 24-year-old Stafford woman was arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Old Triangle Rd., 18400 block, 11:35 a.m. Dec. 5 to 5 p.m. Jan. 21. A catalytic converter, a heat pump, a radiator and aluminum and brass chandeliers were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked garage.

WOODBRIDGE AREA

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Lancaster Park area, Dec. 17. A man tried to meet up with a juvenile through a social network site. An 18-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested on charges of taking indecent liberties with a child and using a communication system to commit acts with a minor.

ASSAULTS

Gault Ct., 16600 block, 10:36 p.m. Jan. 23. During an argument in a vehicle, a motorist restrained an acquaintance and kept her from using her cellphone. A 21-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested.

Radburn St., 16000 block, 8:02 p.m. Jan. 28. After being attacked by a man during an argument at a residence, a man shot a male acquaintance several times. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. A 56-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested on charges that included aggravated malicious wounding, reckless handling of a firearm and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

WEAPONS OFFENSES

Annapolis Way, 900 block, 1:34 a.m. Jan. 26. A vehicle window was broken by gunshot. Other shots were heard being fired.

Ferndale Rd., 14300 block, 10:15 p.m. Jan. 27. During an argument outside a residence, a weapon was fired into the air. A 24-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested.

ROBBERIES

Anchorstone Dr., 5000 block, 1:12 p.m. Jan. 28. A man wearing a mask threatened a woman and robbed her of a purse.

Quate Lane, 13500 block, 11:16 p.m. Jan. 23. Three men robbed a gas station of cash at gunpoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bethel Church Dr., 3200 block, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 28. Two video game systems, a laptop computer and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked back door.

Clore Pl., 3800 block, 11:30 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. Jan. 26. An attempt was made to enter a residence by damaging the front door. Nothing was reported missing.

Emory Lane, 3500 block, 10:35 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 28. A tablet computer was stolen from a residence.

Jarrell Pl., 15100 block, 9:30 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Jan. 26. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

Kingsley Rd., 4500 block, 8 a.m. to 7:28 p.m. Jan. 29. A handgun, a laptop computer and other property were stolen from a residence entered by cutting a screen to a rear window.

Lake Ridge Dr., 12600 block, 5:12 p.m. Jan. 25. A business was entered through a side window. Nothing was reported missing.

Oakwood Dr., 12300 block, 8 a.m. Jan. 20 to 3 p.m. Jan. 29. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

Oakwood Dr., 12500 block, 7:30 a.m. to 6:11 p.m. Jan. 25. An attempt was made to break into a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

Oakwood Dr., 12500 block, 4 to 9:45 p.m. Jan. 29. A video game system and a pair of shoes were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a basement window.

Ranger Loop, 1400 block, 5:40 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Jan. 23. An attempt was made to enter a residence by damaging the front door. Nothing was reported missing.

Rock Ridge Lane, 13100 block, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 27. Cash and a video game system were stolen from a residence.

Tiger Lily Cir., 1800 block, 6:20 a.m. to noon Jan. 23. A residence was entered by forcing a back door. Several rooms were ransacked, but nothing was reported missing.

Westminster Lane, 14300 block, 10 p.m. Jan. 28 to 6 a.m. Jan. 29. Cash and credit cards were stolen from a residence.

Manassas

These were among reports received by Manassas police. For information, call 703-257-8000.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Baldwin, Dean, Round and Weems police districts, Jan. 1 to 25. Cash, portable electronics, tools and prescription medication were among property stolen during overnight vehicle break-ins. Police said that there were 29 incidents, and that most of the vehicles had been left unlocked.

Manassas Park

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Courtney Dr., 2:30 p.m. Jan. 25 to 9:30 a.m. Jan. 26. A watch, a backpack, a calculator and two textbooks were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Polk Dr., 11:30 p.m. Jan. 26 to 1 a.m. Jan. 27. A green 1997 Honda Civic was stolen.

VANDALISM

Colfax Dr., 1:06 p.m. Jan. 30. Gang graffiti were spray-painted on a back wall of a church.

Euclid Ave., 8500 block, 8:30 p.m. Jan. 26 to 1:27 p.m. Jan. 27. A navigation-stereo system was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.
