DUMFRIES AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Canton Ct., 3300 block, 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. March 14. A laptop computer was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked window.

Taconic Cir., 16200 block, 3:14 p.m. March 20. An attempt was made to enter a residence by kicking in a back door. Two males were seen fleeing empty-handed.

MANASSAS AREA
ASSAULTS

Sowder Village Sq., 9900 block, 11:06 p.m. March 16. During an argument in a parking lot, a man broke a window of an acquaintance’s vehicle and forced her into his vehicle. After a brief struggle, she took his keys and fled on foot. He then tried to chase her down using her vehicle. A 19-year-old Bealeton man was arrested.

ROBBERIES

Superior Ct., 13200 block, 8:04 p.m. March 16. A man robbed a deliveryman of cash and a delivery at gunpoint.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Norfolk St., 9600 block, 5 p.m. March 17 to 9 a.m. March 19. A 2003 black BMW X5 was stolen using a key taken from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Kerill Rd., 18400 block, 8:20 a.m. March 15 to 12:25 p.m. March 17. A painting was stolen from a residence.

WOODBRIDGE AREA
SEXUAL ASSAULTS

South Woodbridge area, March 13. A man attacked an acquaintance at a residence. A 33-year-old Woodbridge man was charged with sexual assault.

ASSAULTS

Harbor Dr., 12600 block, 3:18 p.m. March 17. During an argument, a man attacked a male acquaintance. A 19-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested.

Langtree Lane, 13600 block, 10:40 a.m. March 13. A man attacked an acquaintance after kicking in the front door of her residence.

WEAPONS OFFENSES

Big Crest Lane, 14000 block, March 13. A 24-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested in connection with the sale of firearms to a convicted felon.

ROBBERIES

Featherstone Rd., 1500 block, 12:11 a.m. March 17. Two men wearing masks threatened an employee and robbed a store of several cartons of cigarettes.

Jefferson Davis Hwy., 15900 block, 12:10 a.m. March 13. A woman knocked on the front door of a residence and asked an occupant to give her a ride. As they were driving, the woman implied that she had a gun and started to go through the purse of the motorist, who then drove to a police station. After a brief foot chase, a 28-year-old Woodbridge woman was arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Balsam St., 14600 block, 2 to 3:30 p.m. March 17. An MP3 player was among property stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

Cotton Mill Dr., 12300 block, 5 p.m. March 11 to 11:42 a.m. March 12. A business was entered by forcing a door. Nothing was reported missing.

Darby Brooke Ct., 12700 block, 8:30 p.m. March 15 to 11 a.m. March 16. Cash was stolen from a restaurant entered by forcing a back door.

Horizon Ct., 2000 block, 4 p.m. March 20. Three male juveniles tried to break into a residence, then fled empty-handed when confronted by a neighbor.

Old Bridge Rd., 1500 block, 12:01 to 9:15 a.m. March 11. Six computers were stolen from a business.

Pheasant Lane, 2900 block, 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 13. A video game system and games were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked basement door.

Royal Ct., 16500 block, 9:20 a.m. March 12. A man knocked on the front door of a residence. When he received no answer, he went around back and broke a window, then fled empty-handed when confronted.

Shetland Ct., 14300 block, 6:20 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. March 14. Two video game systems, a computer monitor and several pairs of sneakers were among property stolen from a residence.

ASSAULTS

Wharton Ct. and Confederate Trail, 4:45 p.m. March 14. A window of a moving bus was broken by a rock thrown from nearby.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bucyrus Ct., 8500 block, 6 p.m. March 14 to 10 a.m. March 15. Eleven aluminum concrete forms were stolen from a business. The owner reported that seven other forms had been stolen from the premises earlier in the month.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Central Park Dr., 10300 block, 7 a.m. to 1:25 p.m. March 14. A 1987 camouflage-painted Dodge Ram truck was stolen.

Manassas Park

Adams St., 10 a.m. March 3 to 8 a.m. March 11. Tools were stolen from a vehicle.

VANDALISM

Kent Dr., 7:30 p.m. March 15 to 9 a.m. March 16. A vehicle’s paint-finish was scratched.
