DUMFRIES AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Telescope Lane, 16500 block, 8:20 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Oct. 29. Cash, two video game systems and a computer tablet were stolen from a residence entered by damaging a basement door.

GAINESVILLE AREA
WEAPONS

Danehurst Cir., 15000 block, 2:17 a.m. Oct. 30. Several gunshots were heard. A window of a vehicle was broken.

MANASSAS AREA
ROBBERIES

Shoppers Sq., 8300 block, 8:45 p.m. Oct. 26. A man demanded a purse from a woman in a parking lot. When she refused, the two struggled. He took her wallet and fled in a vehicle.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Lomond Dr., 9500 block, 6:30 p.m. Oct. 16 to 6:30 a.m. Oct. 24. Binoculars were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

NOKESVILLE AREA

Reid Lane, 10300 block, 3:30 a.m. Oct. 27. A male resident ordered the other occupants out of the residence. As a male acquaintance was leaving the residence, the resident fired a weapon. During an investigation, the resident hit a police officer. Officers found a marijuana-growing operation. Two 32-year-old Nokesville men were arrested.

TRIANGLE AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Inn St., 4200 block, 3 p.m. Oct. 21 to 9:15 a.m. Oct. 22. An attempt was made to enter a church building by damaging a window.

Joplin Rd., 18200 block, 8:07 p.m. Oct. 24. A man entered a residence by forcing a rear door, took property and loaded it into a truck in the rear of the residence. When the truck failed to start, the man fled. A 41-year-old Dumfries man was arrested.

Jurgensen Dr., 3600 block, 11:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 24. An attempt was made to enter a residence by damaging a front door.

WOODBRIDGE AREA
SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Salemtown Dr., 12100 block, Oct. 8. Between 1991 and 1999, a man sexually assaulted a girl. A 53-year-old Teaneck, N.J., man was arrested.

ASSAULTS

Jefferson Davis Hwy., 13900 block, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27. During an argument, a man hit a male acquaintance in the face with a bottle. The acquaintance was treated for injuries. A 25-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Chinkapin Oak Lane, 2900 block, 7 a.m. Oct. 23 to 3 p.m. Oct. 24. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing a basement door.

Eisenhower Cir., 1300 block, 10:53 p.m. Oct. 23. A person attempted to enter a residence through a window but fled when a resident approached.

Flotilla Way, 16800 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 22 to 7:15 a.m. Oct. 23. Cash was stolen from an office entered by forcing a door.

Gazebo Ct., 12700 block, 4:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 28. A laptop computer was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked window.

Tackett’s Mill Dr., 2400 block, 1:25 a.m. Oct. 24. A restaurant was entered by removing a screen and opening a window.

Floweree Lane, 10300 block, 9 p.m. Oct. 25 to 8:30 a.m. Oct. 26. A tire was stolen from a vehicle.

Lee Ave., 9200 block, 6 a.m. Oct. 26. An attempt was made to enter a residence through a front window.

Massie St., 10300 block, 3:30 p.m. Oct. 25. A man entered two residences.

Redoubt Rd., 10500 block, 4 p.m. Oct. 24 to 6:30 a.m. Oct. 25. Tools were stolen from a business entered by breaking a window.
