DUMFRIES AREA
ASSAULTS

Badger Ct., 16500 block, 3:16 a.m. Jan. 1. A male pedestrian was shot in the lower body. He was taken to a hospital.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Georgetown Rd., 16700 block, 8:30 p.m. Dec. 31 to 1:30 a.m. Jan. 1. Five TVs and two video game systems were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

MANASSAS AREA
SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Coverstone Hill Cir., Jan. 1. A man sexually assaulted a woman. A 28-year-old Manassas man was arrested.

ASSAULTS

Shiloh Ct., 10100 block, 2:14 a.m. Jan. 1. During an argument, a man shot a male acquaintance in the leg and fled in a vehicle. The acquaintance was treated for injuries.

Timberlane Dr., 12300 block, 5:21 a.m. Jan. 2. During an argument in a vehicle, a male passenger pushed a female motorist’s head against the dashboard. The woman stopped the vehicle and fled. A 20-year-old Manassas man was arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Sudley Rd., 8300 block, 7:36 a.m. Jan. 4. Hair products were stolen from a business entered by breaking a front glass door.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Scelzi Ct., 3400 block, 11 a.m. Jan. 2. A man attempted to enter a residence through a window. He fled when a female resident saw him.

WEAPONS

Chaucer Lane, 12100 block, 12:30 a.m. Jan. 1. Someone fired a weapon, damaging a skylight at a residence. No injuries were reported.

ROBBERIES

Bronson Ct., 3300 block, 11:08 p.m. Jan. 1. Three males robbed a male pizza deliveryman of cash, a cellphone and a pizza at gunpoint.

Gina Pl., 3200 block, 2:02 a.m. Jan. 1. A gunman robbed a woman of cash.

Potomac Mills Cir., 2700 block, 2:43 p.m. Jan. 6. After arranging online to buy a video game system, a man robbed another man at gunpoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Beaumont Rd., 3400 block, 1:06 a.m. Jan. 2. Two male juveniles entered a residence by forcing a side window. A resident returned home and called police. Two 16-year-old Silver Spring males were arrested.

Chinkapin Oak Lane, 2800 block, 3 to 11 a.m. Jan. 1. A TV was stolen from a residence entered through a rear door.

General Washington Dr., 14500 block, 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 31. A drill was stolen from a residence entered through a side basement door.

Horizon Ct., 2000 block, 3:12 a.m. Jan. 2. A male entered a residence through a window and was searching a bedroom dresser when a female resident awoke. He fled with property.

Leeds Hill Way, 15400 block, 11:40 p.m. Jan. 2 to 7:30 a.m. Jan. 3. Several video game systems were stolen from a residence entered through an open garage door.

Lost Canyon Ct., 15000 block, 5 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 5. A laptop computer and network routers were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked window.

Potomac Mills Rd., 14400 block, 12:36 a.m. Jan. 5. Hair products were stolen from a business entered by breaking a front glass door.

Shoppers Best Way, 13900 block, 2:41 a.m. Jan. 4. A man entered a business by breaking a front glass door. Nothing was reported stolen.

Smoketown Rd., 14200 block, 7:45 p.m. Jan. 4 to 9:24 a.m. Jan. 5. Hair products were stolen from a business entered by breaking a front glass door.

Cockrell Rd., 9900 block, 10:45 p.m. Jan. 3. A grabbed a hotel clerk by the hair and demanded money. He fled with a cash box.

Dumfries Rd., 10100 block, 10:15 p.m. Jan. 8. A man entered a vehicle and robbed a woman of a purse at knifepoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Centreville Rd., 8800 block, 7 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 8. A suitcase containing a cellphone tower scanner was stolen from the bed of a truck.

Poe Dr., 10300 block, 6:50 p.m. Jan. 1. A building was entered by forcing a door. Nothing was reported stolen.

Sandalwood Dr., 11:15 a.m. to 7:20 p.m. Jan. 7. A laptop computer, a video game system and prescription medicine were stolen from a residence.

Tyler Ct., 9000 block, 6:15 to 9 p.m. Jan. 3. A jacket was stolen from a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Clark Pl., 9700 block, Jan. 7. A white 1998 Ford F-150 was stolen.
