Meals on Wheels will also deliver library materials

The Prince William County Area Agency on Aging’s Meals on Wheels program is partnering with the Prince William Public Library System to deliver books along with food.

Meals on Wheels participants can request up to three items, including books, DVDs and audiobooks. Books and DVDs may be kept up to three weeks.

Meals on Wheels is available to Prince William, Manassas and Manassas Park residents 60 and older who are homebound and unable to easily shop or prepare meals.

Potomac Library will close June 10-15 for renovation

Potomac Community Library in Woodbridge will be closed June 10 to 15 for installation of windows.

The library, at 2201 Opitz Blvd., will reopen at 10 a.m. June 17.

While the library is closed, all holds and interlibrary loans can be picked up at Chinn Park Regional Library, 13065 Chinn Park Dr, Woodbridge.

Work program accepting applicants at NVCC campus

Applications are being accepted for Training Futures, a workforce development program coming to Prince William County.

Low-income residents are encouraged to apply.

The national program is opening a site at Innovation Park Center, 9485 Innovation Dr., an extension of Northern Virginia Community College’s Manassas campus.
