Habitat for Humanity’s Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative and the Brush With Kindness program will be the subjects of this month’s neighborhood informational session.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Room 202 of the Development Services Building, 5 County Complex Ct., Woodbridge.
The free series is designed for residents, civic groups and community leaders to learn effective strategies to address concerns in their communities.
To curb drunken driving, the Washington Regional Alcohol Program will offer free cab rides July 4 in Prince William County.
The Independence Day SoberRide program will run from 10 p.m. July 4 to 4 a.m. July 5. Residents can call 800-200-TAXI (8294) to get a free cab ride home, up to a $30 fare.

What can you build with 250 ice cream sticks, a foam core board and glue? Project Mend-A-House is sponsoring a contest to find out.
The fundraiser contest is for individuals and teams of up to five people. ProjectMend-A-House provides the kits for $25.
The structures may be any type of house, barn, cabin or garage and must be attached to the foam board. Buildings may be painted, decorated and landscaped.
