Riverdale man arrested for attempted murder

July 1, 2013

Prince George’s County deputies arrested a Riverdale man last week who was charged with stabbing a relative in the neck with a box cutter, officials said.

Police arrested Ramone Watkins Wednesday at his home in the 5300 block of 67th Avenue on a warrant charging him with attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure, authorities said.

Prince George’s County police believe Watkins argued with a relative, whose name and relation were not released, inside Watkins’ home where the stabbing happened June 20, according to sheriff’s office officials.
