Romance queen Nora Roberts is Boonsboro’s economic engine

The wildly successful novelist has remade her western Maryland home town with books and businesses.

Except for this fender-bender auto collision on Main Street in downtown Boonsboro, the Nora Roberts book signing was by far the biggest event in town this day. Roberts not only lives in Boonsboro but is involved with (or owns) several businesses in town. When she has a book signing, people come from all over the country.
