Man shot near Nationals Park

A man was shot in the buttocks Thursday morning in Southwest Washington near Nationals Park.

Police said it appears the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening. They said only that the wounded person is an adult male.

The shooting occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. in the first block of N Street SW, near South Capitol Street. The location is within sight of the baseball stadium and a parking garage used for games. It also is near a liquor store and some run-down shops.

Police said they were looking for two men seen speeding away in a gray Dodge Charger with tinted windows.
