Solomons Island Rd., Aug. 2 to Aug. 3. Fiber-optic cable was damaged at a construction site. The damages were estimated at $50,000.

ASSAULTS
Charles St., 100 block, 1:17 a.m. Aug. 4. A man in a parking lot of a bar attacked someone with a belt. A Great Mills man, 26, was charged with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct. No serious injuries were reported.
H.G. Trueman Rd., 1:56 a.m. Aug. 5. Responding to a report of disorderly conduct, police saw a man running in the street. The man ran directly into the police car, denting a door and window frame. During his arrest, the man attacked an officer. A Nevada man, 29, was charged with second-degree assault, destruction of property, disorderly conduct and obstructing the passage of another in a public place.
ST. LEONARD AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS
Calvert Beach Rd., 10 p.m. July 29 to 11 a.m. Aug. 5. Property was stolen from a vehicle.
VANDALISM
Decatur St., 4 a.m. Aug. 5. A window was smashed on a camper parked in a driveway.

Hawthorne Rd., 4300 block, 6 a.m. Aug. 8. Liquor, cigarettes and cigarette lighters were stolen from a market. Three Indian Head men, two age 19 and the third 29, were charged with second- and fourth-degree burglary, theft valued at less than $10,000, and malicious destruction of property.
NEWBURG AREA
ASSAULTS
Crain Hwy., 11000 block, 11:44 p.m. Aug. 3. A woman attacked a person staying at a motel. During her arrest, she spit on an officer and broke a mirror on a police vehicle. A Drayden woman, 33, was charged with second-degree assault on a police officer, destruction of property valued at more than $500, and disorderly conduct.
