These were among reports received by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland State Police. CHESAPEAKE BEACH

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bayside Rd., Sept. 6 to Sept. 7. Property was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Chesapeake Lighthouse Dr., 2 p.m., Sept. 9. A bicycle was stolen from a yard.

Windward Key Dr., Sept. 3 to Sept. 4. A generator was stolen.

LUSBY AREA

VANDALISM

Rimrock Rd., Aug. 31 to Sept. 3. A house exterior was spray-painted.

PORT REPUBLIC AREA

VANDALISM

David Gray Rd., 7:23 a.m., Sept. 9. A vehicle that was left near a road after breaking down was damaged.

PRINCE FREDERICK

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Rivers Reach Ct., 9:54 a.m., Sept. 3. Prescription medication was stolen from a residence.

Solomon Island Rd., 4:58 p.m., Sept. 8. A man was seen taking cash from a cash register at a department store. He also was seen concealing a video game and a cellphone accessory. An investigation was continuing.

SOLOMONS AREA

VANDALISM

Strathmore Rd., Sept. 6 to Sept. 7. Graffiti were spray-painted on the door of a pump station.

ST. LEONARD AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

St. Leonard Rd., 11:36 a.m., Sept. 8. Property was stolen from a shed.

COBB ISLAND AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Cobb Island Rd., 17000 block, 1:40 a.m., Sept. 10. A front window at a market was broken. Nothing was reported missing.

MARBURY AREA

VANDALISM

Sweetman Rd., 4300 block, 8 p.m., Sept. 7. A racial slur was spray-painted on a street sign.

WALDORF AREA

ASSAULTS

Lyon Ct., 2800 block, 11:57 p.m., Sept. 10. A man leaving the home of an acquaintance with whom he was having a dispute over money was attacked by a group of at least three men. He was treated at a hospital for a stab wound and other injuries that were not life-threatening.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Pep Rally Lane, 9300 block, 3:40 p.m., Sept. 12. A break-in occurred at a vacant residence. Three males, ages 14, 14 and 15, were arrested at the scene on burglary charges. A fourth teen was seen fleeing the premises from a back entrance.

Southern Business Park Dr., 4400 block, Sept. 10 to Sept. 11. Several pieces of equipment were stolen from a business.

St. Mary’s County

CALIFORNIA AREA

ASSAULTS

Beechwood Ct., 44600 block, Sept. 7. A man attacked a police officer who found him sleeping in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that had been reported as suspicious. A Leonardtown man, 25, was charged with second-degree assault. No injuries were reported.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Worth Ave., 45200 block, 5:10 p.m. Sept. 7. A man tried to steal a tablet computer from a store. A Tall Timbers man, 22, was arrested.

LEXINGTON PARK AREA

SEXUAL OFFENSES

Lexington Park, Sept. 7. A Lexington Park man, 64, was arrested at his home on charges that included sexual abuse of two minors from July 2010 to February 2011.

ASSAULTS

Great Mills Rd.,Sept. 7. A man struck and scratched an acquaintance. A Lexington Park man, 35, was charged with second-degree assault. No serious injuries were reported.

Marshall Blvd., 46000 block, 8:48 p.m., Sept. 10. A male teenager attacked a male teen at a residence. A 15-year-old from Lexington Park was charged with second-degree assault. No serious injuries were reported.

MECHANICSVILLE AREA

ASSAULTS

Heath Ct., 37300 block, Sept. 8. During an argument, a woman hit an acquaintance in the head with a rake. A Mechanicsville woman, 34, was charged with second-degree assault. No serious injuries were reported.

Hearts Desire Lane, 39700 block, Sept. 9. A man attacked an acquaintance at a residence. A Mechanicsville man, 32, was charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. No injuries were reported.
