DUNKIRK AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Hewitt Ct., Feb. 3. Cash, prescription medication and a gas can were stolen from a residence.

Old Jones Rd., Feb. 2. Two MP3 players and a laptop computer were among property stolen from two unlocked vehicles parked at a residence.

Old Jones Rd., Feb. 2 to 3. A purse was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

Palisades Dr., 1 p.m. Jan. 28. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing a window. Nothing was reported missing.

Shields Dr., Jan. 30 to Feb. 1. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing a window.

HUNTINGTOWN AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Marley Run, Feb. 1. A Global Positioning System device and a hat were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Prospect Lane, Jan. 27 to 28. Property was stolen from a vehicle. A motor home also was broken into; nothing was reported missing.

Smoky Rd., Feb. 1. A Honda four-wheeler was stolen from a garage at a residence.

Solomons Island R., 5 p.m. Jan. 28. A gas station was entered by force. Property was damaged, but nothing was reported missing.

LUSBY AREA

HOMICIDES

San Jose Lane, Jan. 12. A 27-year-old woman was killed during a domestic dispute. On Feb. 1, an acquaintance, a 25-year-old Lusby man, was arrested. During a missing-person investigation, the man at first denied any knowledge of the woman’s whereabouts but then led police to her body, which had been placed in a trash receptacle in a wooded area near Leonardtown.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

H.G. Trueman Rd., 8:10 a.m. Jan. 28. A real estate office was damaged during a break-in. Nothing was reported missing.

Lazy River Rd., 1:25 p.m. Feb. 2. A motorcycle and a handgun were stolen from a residence.

PRINCE FREDERICK AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Calvert Towne Rd., Jan. 28 to 31. A clothes dryer was stolen from a residence.

Clay Hammond Rd., Feb. 2. An attempt was made to steal a van owned by a church.

Dares Beach Rd., 9:11 a.m. Jan. 28. Nine dirt bikes were stolen from a shed at a residence. Five of the bikes were recovered in a wooded area nearby.

Skip Jack Rd., Feb. 1. Three copper grounding boards were stolen from a communications junction facility.

SUNDERLAND AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Sharon Rd., 4:26 p.m. Feb. 1. A television was stolen from a residence.

ROBBERIES

Woodland Drive area, 4:47 p.m. Feb. 6. A man robbed another man of cash at gunpoint. An Accokeek man, 26, was charged with robbery.
