Whipporwill Way, 3:12 a.m. March 15. An attempt was made to enter a residence by damaging a screen. The intruder fled when an alarm sounded.
H.G. Trueman Rd., 1:55 a.m. March 15. During a traffic incident, in which a woman drove her vehicle onto a curb, she kicked a police officer while being handcuffed. A Lusby woman, 22, was charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, negligent driving, reckless driving, DWI, sending an electronic message while operating a vehicle and other traffic violations.
Marine Dr., 7 p.m. March 11 to 7 a.m. March 12. A radar detector was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Side Saddle Trail, March 16 to March 17. A driver’s manual was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Pioneer Trail, March 9 to March 11. Tires were punctured on three vehicles parked at residences.
PRINCE FREDERICK AREA
Prince Frederick Blvd. N., March 14. Four men threatened a man and robbed him of a cellphone and cash, and then fled in a vehicle.
Prince Frederick, March 14. A man, 25, was arrested in connection with an armed robbery July 31 at a restaurant in Dowell. Charges included three counts of armed robbery, three counts of robbery, three counts of first-degree assault and one count of second-degree assault.
Dares Beach Rd., March 16 to March 17. Candy was stolen from a shed at a high school.
ST. LEONARD AREA
Timber View Lane, March 11. A chain saw was stolen from a shed at a residence.
Route 2/4, 10:01 p.m. March 13. A man who had been involved in an accident struck a police officer. A Lusby man, 28, was charged with assault and with driving under the influence.

Wingate Pl., 3 p.m. March 21. A man sitting in a vehicle was shot in the upper body. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. An investigation was ongoing.
Acton Rd., 5:33 p.m. March 16. Loss prevention officers who had seen a woman take merchandise into a store restroom detained her and notified police when they found her bleeding profusely. A Waldorf woman, 42, was arrested on charges that included theft and giving a false identity to avoid prosecution.
Allwood Dr., 9:53 p.m. March 15. Cash and a cellphone were stolen from a residence.
Blackpool Cir., 5:30 a.m. to 5:20 p.m. March 19. Cash and electronic items were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a back door.
Castlewood Ct., 9:08 p.m. March 15. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing a basement door.
Malvern St., March 19. Four wheels and rims were stolen from a vehicle.
Montgomery Lane, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 18. Cash and sneakers were stolen from an unlocked residence.
Promenade Pl., March 19. Four wheels and rims were stolen from a vehicle.
Snow Hill Ct., 10:14 a.m. March 19. An attempt was made to enter a residence by kicking in the back door. A man fled empty-handed when he was confronted by a neighbor who had seen him ring the neighbor’s doorbell and then go around to the back. The witness said that the man earlier had rung his doorbell, claiming to be looking for someone who did not live there.

California, March 19. During a fight in a parking lot at a business, a woman kicked an acquaintance. A Great Mills woman, 26, was charged with second-degree assault.
Sotterly Rd., March 20. During a fight, a man choked an acquaintance. A Hollywood man, 42, was charged with second-degree assault and with violation of a protective order.
LEXINGTON PARK AREA
Charles Way, March 17. During an argument, a man stabbed an acquaintance with a knife. A Lexington Park man, 49, was charged with first- and second-degree assault. No serious injuries were reported.
Compass Cir., March 16. During an argument, a man punched an acquaintance in the face and pushed her down a flight of stairs. A Lexington Park man, 32, was charged with second-degree assault. No serious injuries were reported.
Three Notch Rd., March 16. During an argument, a woman scratched an acquaintance’s arms. A Lexington Park woman, 40, was charged with second-degree assault.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS
FDR Blvd., 11 p.m. March 18 to 8:30 a.m. March 19. Several cameras and a Global Positioning System unit were stolen from a vehicle parked in a parking garage.
Mechanicsville, 9 a.m. March 15. Jewelry was stolen from a display case at a business and sold to area pawn shops. A California man, 26, was arrested in connection with the thefts.
