These were among reports received by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland State Police. CHESAPEAKE BEACH AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bayside Rd., 2:39 p.m. Nov. 19. A woman entered a business and asked to use a phone, after which she stole a purse and fled. A Huntingtown woman, 26, was charged with theft of less than $1,000 and possession of controlled paraphernalia: four hypodermic needles.

Bayview Dr., 10:35 a.m. Nov. 21. A vacant house was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

Dalrymple Rd., 7:45 p.m. Nov. 12. Jewelry, an MP3 player and coins were among items stolen from a home.

Old Bayside Rd., 5:20 p.m. Nov. 13. After jewelry was stolen from a residence, numerous pieces were found at JW Jewelers in Prince Frederick. Charges were pending.

DUNKIRK AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Route 4, Nov. 25. Police reported that a North Beach boy, 15, stole a cellphone case from a store and fled. A short time later, the youth called the store’s loss prevention officer and threatened to blow up the store. An officer spoke with the youth and advised him to turn himself in at the store. The boy was charged on a youth report with theft of less than $100, telephone misuse and threats.

LUSBY AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

H.G. Trueman Rd., from August to Nov. 23. A home was broken into and damaged; nothing was reported missing.

NORTH BEACH AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Third St., midnight, Nov. 21. A large North Beach town holiday decoration was uprooted and stolen.

OWINGS AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Boyds Turn Rd., 6-9 p.m. Nov. 22. A stereo was stolen from a vehicle parked at a middle school.

PORT REPUBLIC AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Long Cove Lane, Nov. 11 to Nov. 23. Items were stolen from a yard and an unlocked garage at a home.

PRINCE FREDERICK AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Main St., 4:44 p.m. Nov. 19. During a traffic stop, it was discovered that a license plate was stolen. A Lexington Park man, 26, was charged with theft. A Prince Frederick woman, 32, who had a child with her was released but was issued a criminal summons.

Route 2/4, 8 a.m. Nov. 19. A purse was stolen from a vehicle parked at a store.

South Shore Terr., 12:31 p.m. Nov. 15. Tools were stolen from a vehicle.

VANDALISM

Mason Rd., 2:30-6:39 p.m. Nov. 18. The side of a recreational vehicle was spray-painted.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Solomons, 1:57 p.m. Nov. 18. A license plate was stolen from a boat trailer parked at a boat ramp.

ST. LEONARD AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bayside Rd., Nov. 9 to Nov. 19. A house was broken into and damaged. Liquor was stolen.

SUNDERLAND AREA
ROBBERIES

Route 2, 2:35 a.m. Nov. 16. A convenience store was robbed at gunpoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Dalrymple Rd., 6:45 p.m. Nov. 19. A counterfeit $100 bill was used to make a purchase at a liquor store.

BEL ALTON AREA
ASSAULTS

Bel Alton, 11 a.m. Nov. 22. While serving another man an arrest warrant at a motel for robbery, a man left the motel room with a gunshot wound to is upper body. The investigation was ongoing.

INDIAN HEAD AREA
SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Indian Head Hwy., 4500 block, Nov. 21. A woman was sexually assaulted in a wooded area behind a liquor store.

LA PLATA AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Hawkins Gate Rd., 6600 block, Nov. 16 to Nov. 23. Firearms, tools and cash were stolen from a vacant house.

Kentucky Ave., Nov. 18 to Nov. 26. Wiring was stolen from a vacant house.

WALDORF AREA
ROBBERIES

Crain Hwy., 11:30 a.m. Nov. 26. Someone grabbed a bank deposit bag from a customer standing in line at a bank and fled on foot.

Crain Hwy., 3300 block, 2:18 a.m. Nov. 27. A store window was broken, and several items were stolen.

Keepsake Pl., 7:22 p.m. Nov. 25. A group of males assaulted a youth and robbed him of his cellphone, bag and articles of clothing.

Shawe Pl., 5100 block, 7 p.m. Nov. 25. After a man got into his vehicle, another man used a handgun to tap on the window. He told the man to get out of the vehicle and empty his pockets. After the man complied, several other people went through his vehicle and then fled on foot.

St. Patrick’s Dr., 2:03 p.m. Nov. 19. A dry cleaning store was robbed at gunpoint by two men.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Mall Cir., 5 p.m. Nov. 19. A man attempted to use a counterfeit $100 bill at a mall to make a purchase. A D.C. man, 19, was charged with theft and resisting arrest. The man also allegedly used a counterfeit bill at another store.

VANDALISM

Harwich Dr., 4600 block, Nov. 22. A boulder was thrown through a vehicle’s windshield.

PEEPING TOM INCIDENT

Lichfield Pl., 4800 block, 6:07 a.m. Nov. 26. A man was seen at an apartment complex looking into bedroom and bathroom windows. Earlier in the month, two sexually explicit notes were found on a vehicle. One of the notes was written on the back of a court summons for the alleged peeping tom. A Waldorf man, 25, was charged with peeping tom, peeping tom with prurient intent, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

CALIFORNIA AREA
ASSAULTS

Three Notch Rd., Nov. 22. During an attempt to stop a woman who was suspected of stealing merchandise, the woman shoved an employee with her shoulder. A Lexington Park woman, 40, was charged with second-degree assault and theft of less than $1,000.

CALLAWAY AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Knott’s Dr., Nov. 22. A man woke up in his home to find a woman going through the pockets of his clothes. A Camp Hill, Pa., woman, 26, was charged with fourth-degree burglary.

HOLLYWOOD AREA
ASSAULTS

Route 235, 12:36 a.m. Nov. 15. During a stop for a disabled vehicle, a man fled from the vehicle. When an officer caught the man, a struggled ensued, and the man punched and kicked the officer and attempted to remove his gun from his holster. A Chesapeake Beach man, 43, was charged with second-degree assault of a law enforcement officer, failure to obey a lawful order, attempt to disarm a police officer, resisting arrest and malicious destruction of property worth less than $1,000.

LEONARDTOWN AREA
ASSAULTS

Leonardtown, Nov. 25. An officer responded to a hospital for a report of an assault. An investigation revealed that during an argument, a man assaulted an acquaintance. A Mechanicsville man, 21, was charged with second-degree assault.

Leonardtown, Nov. 26. During an argument over a TV remote control, an inmate at a detention center assaulted another inmate. A man, 33, was charged with second-degree assault.
