These were among reports received by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland State Police. CHESAPEAKE BEACH AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Gordon Stinnett Ave., 3 to 4 p.m. July 27. A camera was stolen from a bag at a water park.

H St., 7:30 a.m. to noon July 23. A portable basketball hoop was stolen from a driveway at a home.

PORT REPUBLIC AREA
VANDALISM

Wash Hance Rd., July 23. House siding, a fence and two road signs were spray-painted.

PRINCE FREDERICK AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Auto Dr., 3 p.m. July 26. A wallet was stolen from a locker at an aquatic center. Credit cards from the wallet were used to make purchases at a store.

Hospital Rd., 3:30 p.m. July 22. During his treatment at an emergency room at a hospital, a man stole a computer from a treatment room and left. A short time later, he was reported to be at a car dealership trying to sell items from a backpack. A Dundalk man, 35, was charged with theft.

Seagull Beach Rd., July 24 to July 25. Two stop signs and poles were stolen.

ST. LEONARD AREA
VANDALISM

Long Beach Dr., July 25. A window screen was damaged at a home. Footprints were found on top of an air conditioner by the window.

INDIAN HEAD AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Doncaster Dr., 4000 block, July 30. Copper and telephone wires were stolen.

Indian Head Ave., 200 block, July 26 to July 27. A guitar was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

WALDORF AREA
ROBBERIES

Robinson Pl., 2500 block, 11:20 p.m. July 25. A man was robbed at gunpont in his home by three to five males after he answered the doorbell.

St. Patrick’s Dr., 11:30 p.m. July 24. A man was robbed at gunpoint. A Waldorf man, 18, and a White Plains man, 18, were charged with armed robbery, theft, carrying a dangerous weapon and first-degree assault.

ASSAULTS

Pinefield Rd., 3:39 a.m. July 31. Investigating a report of disorderly conduct, officers found a man facedown on grass. He had been assaulted by two people.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Cheryl Turn, 10700 block, July 30. Televisions, purses, cash and a gun were stolen from a home.

Lancaster Cir., 4800 block, 7:05 p.m. July 24. Windows were shattered at an elementary school, and a door was found open. Seven youths were charged with burglary and destruction of property.

Mattawoman Dr., 12500 block, 3 a.m. July 24. A stolen U-Haul van was driven through the door of a liquor store. The van was found later on Nike Drive. Nothing was reported taken from the store.

Piney Church Rd., 4200 block, 1:51 a.m. July 29. An attempt was made to break into a building. An alarm sounded, and the building was not entered.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Robinson Pl., 12:05 a.m. July 28. During a traffic stop, police discovered that the vehicle had been taken without the owner’s consent. A Bel Alton man, 27, was charged with unlawful taking of a vehicle, theft, fraud and traffic violations.

WHITE PLAINS AREA
ROBBERIES

Bruns Ave., 10100 block, 8:35 p.m. July 28. A man getting out of his vehicle was pushed to the ground and robbed of cash and a cellphone at gunpoint.

Crain Hwy., 4400 block, 7:50 p.m. July 26. A man took cigarettes and a candy bar from another man behind a business and assaulted him. A man, 41, was charged with theft and strong-arm robbery.

ASSAULTS

Upland Dr., July 25. A man hit an acquaintance in the face and forced the person to the floor. A Bushwood man, 20, was charged with second-degree assault.

ASSAULTS

Iverson Dr., July 17. During an argument, a man bit an acquaintance on the ear. A California man, 28, was charged with second-degree assault.

Daniel Ct., Aug. 1. Property was taken from a home.

MacArthur Blvd., July 30. Property was taken from a home.

Indian Creek Dr., July 30. A wood chipper was stolen from a shed.

Route 5, Aug. 1. A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle at a park-and-ride lot.

Bayside Rd., July 26. Produce was stolen from a roadside stand.

VANDALISM

Blackistone Cir., July 26. A wooden sign at a home was shot with BBs.

Lawrence Ave., July 25. Property was stolen from a vehicle.

Magee Dr., July 27. A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Leonard Hall Dr., July 31. Property was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at a building.

Pin Cushion Rd., July 29. Someone who was seen carrying a ladder toward a home fled when a porch light was turned on.

Route 5, July 26. Cash was stolen from a shopper at a grocery store.

Washington St., Aug. 1. Property was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

LEXINGTON PARK AREA
ASSAULTS

Point Lookout Rd., July 26. Police went to a hospital to investigate a report of an assault that had not taken place there. An investigation revealed that a man had allegedly strangled an acquaintance. A Lexington Park man, 31, was charged with second-degree assault.

Ronald Dr., 11:33 p.m. July 29. During a domestic dispute, a man and a youth assaulted each other. A Lexington Park male, 15, was charged with first- and second-degree assault. A Lexington Park man, 39, was charged with second-degree assault.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Great Mills Rd., July 31. A purse was stolen from unlocked vehicle.

VANDALISM

Great Mills Rd., July 27. A vehicle parked at a bar was damaged.

MECHANICSVILLE AREA
ASSAULTS

East Lakeland Dr., 3:57 a.m. July 31. During an investigation of a domestic assault, a woman struggled with a police officer. A Mechanicsville woman, 30, was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer and resisting arrest.

VALLEY LEE AREA
VANDALISM

Blake Creek Rd., July 27. Two tires were cut on a vehicle.
