Police investigate two sex assaults in Northeast D.C.

Police in D.C. are investigating two sexual assaults that happened Tuesday in Northeast Washinton.

According to police, the first assault happened about 4 p.m. when a woman was sexually assaulted by two men inside the men’s car, which was parked in the 600 block of 21st Street NE.

Police said the woman did not know the men, but accepted a ride and appears to have gotten into the car willingly. Police said that once she was inside the black four-door vehicle, she was assaulted by both men.

The suspects are both described as black men between 20 and 25 years of age with long dreadlocks. Police also said that one of the suspects was about 6’7” and was of Jamaican descent.

The second attack happened about 11:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of Hayes Street NE. Police said the victim was walking down a street when a man approached from behind and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a black man with a stocky build, 5’2” and 130 lbs. He was wearing a lime-green shirt with blue accents on the shoulders, blue jeans and a white hat. Police said he had light facial hair.
