Md. high school band gets taste of collegiate performance
The Gwynn Park High School band was invited to play with the University of Maryland College Park Wind Ensemble at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, as part of the Prince George’s County College and Career Readiness initiative.

The Gwynn Park High School Band played with the University of Maryland Wind Ensemble at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in College Park. "I never thought, at least so early in my career, that I would have the opportunity to conduct any band, let alone my own band performing at the University of Maryland,” said William Lake, chair of the music department at Gwynn Park High School.
