R.E.E.L. awards local activists
River East Emerging Leaders (r.e.e.l.), an organization made up of young professionals who live east of the Anacostia River, hosted its annual Christmas party on Dec. 15th and recognized several local activists with Distinguished Service awards. Held at the Honfleur Gallery on Good Hope Road and hosted by NBC4’s Tracee Wilkins, the party was attended by local political candidates, advisory neighborhood commissioners and other neighborhood residents.
