Seersucker Bike Ride and Social celebrates Jazz Age style

The 2012 Seesucker Bike Ride and Social was held on June 9th and, like every year, the annual event was a Jazz Age-inspired bicycle ride throught DC. This year the the ride began at Fort Reno Park and ended at the Hillwood Estate, Museum and Garden. Put on by Eric Channing Brewer of Dandies & Quaintrelles and Holly Bass of Holly Bass Performance Projects, the bikers were treated to an afternoon of picnicking, croquet, badmiton and live jazz. - Kellie Armstead.

ANNAPOLIS, MD - MAY 20: The Herndon Monument Climb is the traditional culmination of plebe year at the United States Naval Academy. The plebes climb to the top of the lard-covered 21 foot high monument and remove the 'dixie cup' hat at the top replacing it with an upperclassman's hat.
