Execution in Virginia: The Virginia inmate and convicted murderer who sought the death penalty to keep himself from killing again is set to die by electrocution.
Maryland budget: Gov. Martin O’Malley is expected to release the state’s 2014 budget.
Misconduct trial: The trial of John Leopold, the Anne Arundel county executive accused of using his security detail to set up encounters with his mistress, is set to begin.
Wizards go West: The Washington Wizards, riding high on a three-game winning streak, face off against the Sacramento Kings at 10 p.m.
