Coming up Friday in the D.C. region:
Voting, guns and mental health: Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) is expected to speak about expanded early voting and public safety.
Food trucks: Inspections will begin this morning for the fleet of D.C. food trucks hoping to operate on Inauguration Day.
D.C. sports: The Wizards will face off against the Denver Nuggets at 9 p.m. The Capitals are gearing up for tomorrow’s season opener against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Break out the scarves and gloves. Temperatures today will be in the mid- to upper 30s, with wind chills dipping into the 20s.
