Crash test dummies downsized
Crash tests in the federal star-rating program for vehicle safety have long used only an average-sized male dummy, leaving out collision impacts on women and smaller men. Some of the tests now use a smaller female dummy to reveal injury risks based on height and weight. Read related article.
