Two gunmen sexually assault, rob woman in Northwest

Two masked men sexually assaulted a woman at gunpoint early Monday during an robbery in Northwest Washington, D.C. police said.

The assailants walked up to a car in the 1500 block of Meridian Place about 1 a.m., as the woman sat with another man, officials said. The men, who wore ski masks, pulled out handguns, robbed the couple and assaulted the man.

The gunmen then took the woman to the 1400 block of Oak Street NW, about two blocks away, and sexually assaulted her, police said.

The suspects were still at large Monday evening.
