Two shot, one fatally, in Northeast D.C.

Two men were shot, one fatally, in Washington’s Trinidad neighborhood Wednesday morning, D.C. police said.

The victims were outside, in the 1200 block of Raum Street NE, when they were shot about 7:50 a.m., said Officer Araz Alali, a police spokesman. One of the men was hit by multiple rounds, including at least one in the chest. He died at a local hospital, Alali said. Detectives are investigating his death as a homicide. Alali did not release the man’s name because the victim’s family members had not been officially notified.
