Swine on the line for BCS Championship between Va., Ala. governors

Swine is on the line in tonight’s BCS Championship.

Virginia Gov. Robert F. McDonnell (R) and Gov. Robert Bentley (R) have a friendly, personal wager on Monday night’s contest between Notre Dame and the University of Alabama. McDonnell, a 1976 Fighting Irish alumnus, attended the game in Miami with his family.

McDonnell spokesman Tucker Martin says if McDonnell loses, Bentley will send ribs from his home state. If Bentley loses, he will send Bentley a Smithfield ham.
