Visions of Faith: The shofar
At the Lubavitch Center for Jewish Education in Columbia, Rabbi Hillel Baron teaches children about the shofar, an instrument used in Jewish tradition for the High Holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, which ends Saturday at sundown. When the horn is blown, he says, it signals that “our prayers have been heard.”
