Woman abducted, sexually assaulted in SE

A woman walking along a street near Congress Heights on Wednesday afternoon was abducted, forced into a sport-utility vehicle and sexually assaulted in Southeast Washington, according to D.C. police.

Authorities said three men were in the vehicle, described as as dark in color. The attack occurred about 3:30 p.m. in the 3700 block of Martin Luther King Avenue SE.

Police have classified the crime as a first-degree sexual assault and kidnapping. There was no description of the vehicle, other than its dark color, or the attackers.

Police said that the woman was taken to a location she did not recognize, sexually assaulted and then let go.
