Woman sexually assaulted at knifepoint in Fairfax County

A 23-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a man with a knife in Fairfax County on Sunday, police said.

The attack occurred after a woman got a cup of coffee in the 7700 block of Richmond Highway in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County around 8:30 p.m., police said.

The woman was approached at her car by a man who displayed a knife and demanded money.

The man then sexually assaulted the woman, police said. He fled after she screamed.

The suspect was described as Hispanic and in his late 30s. He was between 5’6’ and 5’8” and had a narrow face and a thin build. He wore a blue baseball cap and a light blue hoodie.
