She previously worked as managing editor of Inside the Army, an independent newsletter that covers Army procurement, budget and policy issues. She also worked as a reporter at the Carroll County Times in Westminster, Md, and the Princeton Packet in Princeton, N.J. A Fairfax native, she graduated from Princeton University.
