America’s gun belt

Since the time of George Washington, much of the nation’s gun manufacturing has taken place along a highly industrialized stretch of the Connecticut River. Today, New England still produces 80 percent of all American-made revolvers, 40 percent of its pistols and 37 percent of its rifles. Read related article.
