Regulating power plant carbon emissions

About a third of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions come from power plants, but no current limits exist on how much carbon pollution new or existing plants can release into the atmosphere. A 2009 Supreme Court decision recognized the threat of greenhouse gas pollution, so the Environmental Protection Agency is proposing limits on future coal- and gas-fired plants.
