Roads vs. rising sea levels
Even according to conservative climate models, rising seas will make the road to Port Fourchon, La., a major artery to Gulf of Mexico refineries, largely unusable by the end of the century. A plan to raise 19 miles of the highway has stalled with 10 miles completed. Read related article.
