SpaceX Dragon capsule returns

The commercial craft splashed down in the Pacific Ocean on Tuesday, carrying more than a ton of science experiments and equipment from the international space station.

The Dragon capsule uses parachutes to descend to the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula after leaving the international space station. The craft brought back more than a ton of science experiments and old station equipment. It is the only supply ship capable of two-way delivery. NASA is paying SpaceX more than $1 billion for a dozen resupply missions.

The plebes climb to the top of the lard-covered 21 foot high monument and remove the 'dixie cup' hat at the top replacing it with an upperclassman's hat.
