Surviving cancer

Thanks in part to earlier diagnoses and advances in treatment, the chances of surviving some of the most common types of cancer have increased, sometimes markedly, in the past few decades. This chart shows the percentage of people who lived at least five years after diagnosis of one of the 10 most common types of cancer.
