Parents planning to head to downtown Washington for President Obama’s second inauguration are invited to visit The Washington Post with their children for a kid-friendly event.
Children will be able to write letters to the president to tell him what they think his goals should be for his second term.
Some of the letters will be displayed in the front window of The Post building, and all of the letters will be delivered to the White House.
The event, organized by KidsPost, will be held on Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the front lobby of The Post building, 1150 15th Street NW.
Each child will receive a KidsPost pen, and the first 20 children who stop by will receive a KidsPost T-shirt.
Anyone who wants to write a letter to the president but cannot make it to Monday’s event can do so online.
