Tropical Storm Isaac moves toward Gulf Coast The storm that battered much of the Caribbean started pelting the Florida Keys with rain and strong winds Sunday and forecasters say it could strengthen into a dangerous hurricane by the time it begins hitting the northern Gulf Coast in the coming days.

Waves batter Havana's seafront following the passage of Tropical Storm Isaac. With winds reaching 50 mph, the storm brought heavy rain and choppy seas to the Florida Keys after battering Haiti and sweeping across Cuba late Saturday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.
