“Oorah’’ is defined as a sign of enthusiasm, an effusive response to an order, akin to the Army’s “hooah!” or the Navy’s “hooyah!” Here are photos from the U.S. Marine Corp’s Flickr feed of Marines in action around the world. Best friends till the end

Yeager, an improvised explosive device detection dog, lies in front of a battlefield cross honoring Lance Cpl. Abraham Tarwoe, a dog handler and mortarman who served with Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines. Tarwoe, who became Yeager's handler in July 2011, was killed in action in Afghanistan's Helmand province on April 12. With Yeager was Staff Sgt.
