Open thread: Capitals vs. Sabres

(Nick Wass/Associated Press)

The Capitals are the only team in the NHL without a victory and will look to capture an elusive win for the first time this season when they host the Buffalo Sabres Sunday afternoon. They’ll need more out of Alex Ovechkin and more discipline as a group, among other improvements, if they are to put an end to this losing streak.

Coach Adam Oates will turn to Michal Neuvirth in net for a third consecutive game after a strong 32-save performance from the 24-year-old on Friday.

Follow along and discuss the game in the comment section below.
