Open thread: Capitals at Blackhawks

Hockey is back. The Capitals kick off the 2013-14 NHL season Tuesday night at United Center in Chicago where the defending Stanley Cup Champions will celebrate their victory one more time before puck drop.

The banner raising ceremony in Chicago is expected to delay the start to approximately 8:25 p.m. (EDT). But there’s plenty of pregame reading to help you pass the time.
