Open thread: Capitals vs. Hurricanes

The Capitals return to Verizon Center and kick off a five-game homestand against another former Southeast team, the Carolina Hurricanes.

Braden Holtby (0-2-0, .848 save percentage, 4.47 GAA) makes his fourth consecutive start of the season and remains in search of his first win of the year. Meanwhile the Hurricanes will go with Anton Khudobin (1-0-0, .944 save percentage, 1.00  GAA), who backstopped them to their only win of the season so far, 2-1 over Philadelphia on Oct. 6.
