Open thread: Capitals vs. Canadiens

(Geoff Burke/USA TODAY Sports)

Update: Michal Neuvirth suffered a lower-body injury during warmups and will miss Friday’s contest. Braden Holtby now gets the start with video coach Brett Leonhardt serving as backup. More here.

Michal Neuvirth (2-3-1, 2.83 goals against average, .912 save percentage) makes his sixth start of the season as the Capitals look to snap a four-game losing streak. Montreal, riding a four-game winning streak, will turn to Peter Budaj (4-1-0, 1.58 goals-against average, .942 save percentage) against the Capitals again.
