Open thread: Devils at Capitals

The Verizon Center crowd won’t get to see Alex Ovechkin’s 400th goal. That came into an empty net to clinch Friday night’s 4-2 victory at Carolina.

We don’t yet know, either, whether Marcus Johansson will play tonight. His lower-body injury makes him a game-time decision.

With an optional skate this morning, we can’t be sure of the lines until pregame warmups. You’ll have them when we see them. Start the conversation now, and enjoy the game.

UPDATE: It will be Braden Holtby in net tonight against veteran Martin Brodeur. And it appears, at least from warmups, like Johansson will play and be back on the first line. The lineup, for now:

Holtby (13-10-1, 2.91 GAA, .917 save percentage)

Scratches: Neuvirth (so Grubauer backing up), Urbom, Wellman
